China Museums Tour

China Museums Tour Tour Features: To enjoy a complete and systematic experience of Chinese cultural history, one must take the China museums tours and visit the museums of their native land. Itinerary:

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing

Depart on your flight bound for Beijing, the capital of People's Republic of China. Upon your arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2 Beijing

Full-day tour will begin at the magnificent Forbidden City, known as Palace Museum, is the home to emperors for over 500-years. Strolling through Tiananmen Square, which is the largest square in the world. Continue to witness the splendor of the Summer Palace. This evening, you are invited to a Peking duck banquet.

Day 3 Beijing

A full-day tour will take in the grandeur of the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Great Wall, built more than 2000 years ago to protect China from northern invaders. On the way back to Beijing stop and visit the sacred Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty were buried. Tonight enjoy the fantastic Kung Fu Show.

Day 4 Beijing

Toda you will visit the Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum, and then see the Beijing Traditional Opera Museum. After lunch, move on to Beijing Ancient Observatory and Beijing Capital Museum. Built in 1442, the observatory is made up of eight astronomical devices designed by Jesuit astronomers and presented to the Imperial court. The Capital Museum houses nearly 200,000 valuable artifacts, unearthed in the Beijing area. At the core of the collection are 800 historical relics that tell the history of the Beijing area.

Day 5 Beijing / Xian

After breakfast, admire the beauty of The Temple of Heaven where the Chinese emperors prayed for good harvest in ancient days. Then you will enjoy shopping along the Wangfujing Street. Transfer to the airport and fly to the ancient capital city of Xian. Arrival and check in the hotel.

Day 6 Xian

A full-day tour will take you to the Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses which are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. On the way back to Xian, you can visit 6000-year-old Neolithic village remain in Banpo Museum. In the afternoon, you will visit the Forest of Stone Tablets Museum. The forest of Stone Tablets Museum, a courtyard-styled structure, is situated on the site of the Confucian Temple on Sanxue Street, Xian. In the evening enjoy a dazzling Tang Dynasty Show and dinner.

Day 7 Xian / Luoyang

After a morning visit to Shaanxi Provincial History Museum and enjoy a leisure stroll on the 600-year-old Ming Dynasty City Wall, you will be transferred to the railway station and board the soft-seat train to Luoyang. Delight in the wonderful rural China scenes from your train cabin. Arrival and transferred to your hotel.

Day 8 Luoyang / Suzhou

Today you will visit the UNESCO listed Longmen Grottoes and White Horse Temple. Together with Mogao Caves, Yungang Caves, Longmen Caves is known as the three great sculpture treasure houses of China. White Horse Temple was regarded as the "originating court" and the "cradle of Chinese Buddhism" by the Buddhist disciples. Since its establishment, White Horse Temple has experienced vicissitudes of centuries. After dinner, transferred to the railway station and board your overnight soft-sleeper train to Suzhou.

Day 9 Suzhou

Arrive in Suzhou today, you will visit the Lingering Garden, China Embroidery Museum and newly built Suzhou Museum. Suzhou Museum was built in the national historic landmark, Zhong Wang Fu Palace complex. It is designed by the world famous architect I. M. Pei and completed in October 2006 with a great selection of over 30000 cultural relics. Check in your hotel in the evening.

Day 10 Suzhou / Shanghai

Today continue to travel to Shanghai, the biggest city of China. Arrival and check in your hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the fabulous Shanghai Museum that specializes on ancient arts. The world-renowned Shanghai Museum, a museum of ancient Chinese art, was established in December, 1952 at the West Nanjing Road which was once the club of the Shanghai horse race course.

Day 11 Shanghai

Visit the world famous waterfront - The Bund. It was once part of the foreign concessions and out-of-bounds to locals. Then explore the magnificent Nanjing Road and proceed for a city tour to Pudong New District - Shanghai's main financial district.

Day 12 Depart

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight.
