Destinations: Beijing, Datong (Mountain Heng Shan), Taiyuan (Wutai Mountain), Luoyang, Dengfeng (Mountain Songshan), Xian (Mountain Huashan), Hangzhou (Mountain Huangshan), Shanghai

Itinerary:

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing

Depart on your flight bound for Beijing, the capital of People's Republic of China. Upon your arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2 Beijing

Warm-up biking tour to the magnificent Forbidden City, home to emperors for over 500-years, you will also get the chance to stroll through Tiananmen Square, which is the largest square in the world. In the afternoon, you will take the traditional rickshaw ride through the local Hutong neighborhood. Hutong is a unique form of community that exists only in China.

Day 3 Beijing

A full-day tour will take in the grandeur of the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Great Wall, built more than 2000 years ago to protect China from northern invaders. On the way back to Beijing stop and visit the sacred Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty were buried. Tonight enjoy the fantastic Kung Fu Show.

Day 4 Beijing / Datong

In this morning, you will admire the beauty of Summer Palace,built as a royal garden for Qing Dynasty Emperors. Then transferred to the railway station and board the soft-seat train to Datong, arrival and check into the hotel.

Day 5 Datong / Mountain Heng Shan / Datong

Full day excursion to Mountain Heng Shan located at the south of Datong. This North Sacred Mountain is rich in historic sites including the visit to the breathtaking 1400-year-old Hanging Temple, built clinging to the edge of a precipice that overlooks a valley far below.

Day 6 Datong / Mountain Wutai

Today you will continue to travel to the famous Mountain Wutai and stay overnight. Wutai Mountain, 240 kilometers north of Taiyuan, is the first of the four famous Buddhist Mountains in the country. The area's biggest attractions are the numerous Buddhist temples.

Day 7 Mountain Wutai / Taiyuan / Luoyang

Continue the trip to Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province. Arrival and visit the Jinci Memorial Temple, Jinci Temple is regarded as the most worthy sight in Taiyuan of Shanxi Province with its three treasures - Nanlao Spring, Zhou Cypress and Saint Mother Hall. After dinner, you will board the overnight soft-sleeper train to Luoyang.

Day 8 Luoyang / Dengfeng

Arriving in Luoyang this morning, after the breakfast and short rest, you will visit the Longmen Caves, and then drive to the birthplace of Chinese Kungfu at Shaolin Temple, which is also considered as the cradle of the Chan Zen Sect of Buddhism in China. The temple is located at the Mountain Songshan. The Middle Sacred Mountain (4, 959 feet above sea level) is famous for the 72 temples on the 72 slopes. Tonight you will check in the local hotel.

Day 9 Dengfeng / Mountain Huashan

Take the express soft-seat train to Mountain Huashan in this morning. Mountain Huashan is located in the east of Xian. The West Sacred Mountain (7, 216 feet above sea level) is famous for its steep and risky ascent, a climb known to traditional China as the most perilous under heaven.

Day 10 Mountain Huashan / Xian

Continue to visit this holy mountain and then transferred to the ancient capital city of Xian. Arrival and check into the hotel.

Day 11 Xian

A full day excursion to the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang guarded by the famous Terracotta Army, 7000 life-size clay statues each individually crafted, complete with chariots and horses. Then go to Huaqing Hot Spring. On the way back to Xian, visit 6000-year-old Neolithic village remain in Banpo Museum. In the evening enjoy a dazzling Tang Dynasty Show and dinner.

Day 12 Xian / Hangzhou

Morning stroll on the 600-year-old City Wall built in Ming Dynasty and also visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Then you will be transferred to the airport and fly onto Hangzhou known as the Oriental Pearl. Arrival and check into the hotel.

Day 13 Hangzhou

Relax on a wonderful cruise of China's most famous Lake, West Lake; it is symbol of Hangzhou as well as one of the most beautiful sights in China. Then visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda. Ascending to the top of the pagoda and looking down, you will have a panoramic view of the beauty of the Qiantang River, feeling as if "standing above the highest level of the sky".

Day 14 Hangzhou / Tunxi / Mountain Huangshan

Today you be transferred to Tunxi, which is located at the foot of Huangshan Mountain, which is listed as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. It has always been worshipped since ancient times for its unique beauty, and it offers an ideal place for seekers of antiquity as well as for novelty explorers. Arrival and take the cable car to the mountain top for overnight.

Day 15 Mountain Huangshan

Full-day explore to this amazing mountain. Some peaks reach up to 5, 900 feet high. The scenery is renowned for its dramatic changes from hour to hour and through the seasons. Mountain Huangshan covers an area of 250 kilometers, of which 154 square kilometers are scenic attractions. Its landscape features "four wonders" of imposing peaks, spectacular rocks, odd-shaped pines, and a sea of clouds.

Day 16 Mountain Huangshan / Tunxi / Shanghai

Today you will take the cable car back to Tunxi, where you will travel along Xin An River to Yi Xian County. This area is famous the well reserved architectures, ancient traditions and customs from Sung Dynasty. After a leisure walk along the ancient cultural street of Tunxi city, you will board the flight to Shanghai, the biggest city of China. Arrival and transferred to your hotel.

Day 17 Shanghai

Visit the world famous waterfront - The Bund. It was once part of the foreign concessions and out-of-bounds to locals. Then explore the magnificent Nanjing Road and the Jade Buddha Temple that is famous for its 2 Jade Buddha. After dinner, proceed for a city tour to Pudong New District - Shanghai's main financial district and enjoy a scenic night cruise on Huangpu River.

Day 18 Depart

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight.
