Destinations: Beijing, Quyang, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Yuzhou, Xian, Tongchuan, Nanchang, Jingdezhen, Shanghai

Itinerary:

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing

Depart on your flight bound for Beijing, the capital of People's Republic of China. Upon your arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2 Beijing

Full-day tour will begin at the magnificent Forbidden City, known as Palace Museum, is the home to emperors for over 500-years. Strolling through Tiananmen Square and witness the splendor of the Summer Palace. This evening, you are invited to a Peking duck banquet.

Day 3 Beijing

A full-day tour will take in the grandeur of the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Great Wall, built more than 2000 years ago to protect China from northern invaders. On the way back to Beijing stop and visit the sacred Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty were buried. Enjoy a spectacular Chinese Kongfu performance in the evening.

Day 4 Beijing / Quyang / Shijiazhuang

After breakfast, travel for about 4 hours to Quyang (Hebei Province), the home for the famous "Dingyao Ceramics" that represented the highest white ceramics making level in Northern China. Upon arrival, visit the ancient kiln site that is regarded as the most well-preserved in present China. Continue the visit to Quyang Ding Ceramics Co., Ltd where you can view the reproduction of the famous "Dingyao Ceramics" in the traditional way. Then travel for about 1.5 hours to Shijiazhuan, the capital city of Hebei province. Check into the hotel and rest.

Day 5 Shijiazhuang / Beijing

After breakfast, take the express way and drive back to Beijing. After checking into the hotel and relaxing, visit the China History Museum and its ceramics collection. This large museum displays the long history of China's civilization. Contained within are more than 400,000 cultural relics, the oldest of which date back to over 1.7 million years ago.

Day 6 Beijing / Zhengzhou

In the morning, fly to Zhengzhou. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Then visit the Henan Provincial Museum with a well-displayed ceramics collection, where you learn of the ancient cultures.

Day 7 Zhengzhou / Yuzhou / Zhengzhou

After breakfast, travel for about 2 hours to Yuzhou, the birth place of the famous "Junyao Ceramics" that are regarded as one of the most ceramics by Chinese people. Upon arrival, visit the Jun Yao Ceramics Research Institute and find out the production techniques of the famous Jun porcelain. In the afternoon, visit two Qing Dynasty "Hui Guan" (merchant's associations). These "Huanguang" were built in ancient Chinese temple style and used to the places for the merchants to stay and congregate in Yuzhou on trading trips. Travel back to Zhengzhou by coach.

Day 8 Zhengzhou / Xian

Enjoy a leisurely morning. Transfer to the railway station and catch the express train to Xian. Upon arrival, check into the hotel.

Day 9 Xian

A full-day tour will take you to the Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses which are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Then travel to Shaanxi History Museum. The Shaanxi Provincial History Museum is a massive modern museum up to the national standard. It houses a collection of 113,000 historic and cultural artifacts unearthed in Shaanxi province.

Day 10 Xian / Tongchuan / Xian

After breakfast, travel for two hours to Tongchuan by coach and visit the famous "Yaozhou Ceramics" Museum that is the largest among its kinds in China. "Yaozhou Ceramics" are the masterpieces of Northern China ceramics. After the visit, travel back to Xian. Enroute, visit the newly-opened Han Yangling Mausoleum. Get back to the hotel and rest.

Day 11 Xian / Nanchang / Jingdezhen

Fly to Nanchang, the capital city of Jiangxi Province in the morning. Upon arrival, transfer to Jingdezhen, the ceramic-making center in China after Yuan Dynasty. After checking into the hotel, visit Imperial Porcelain Kiln Site, Ceramic Art Museum and Ancient Porcelain Factory.

Day 12 Jingdezhen

After breakfast, visit Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art and Design Center, (historically famous Hutian Kiln Site remains), Provincial Ceramic Research Institute, Sanbaopen Water Driven Stamp Mill and Gaoling Mountain (original Kaolin Mine near the village of Gaoling). In China, the name "Gaoling" for centuries has been the term for the clay of porcelains.

Day 13 Jingdezhen / Nanchang / Shanghai

In the morning, take the coach to Nanchang and then fly to Shanghai. Meet and transfer to the hotel.

Day 14 Shanghai

Enjoy a leisurely morning. In the afternoon, visit the fabulous Shanghai Museum and appreciate the beauties of the well-displayed ceramics. Shanghai Museum is the first museum in China that meets international exhibition standard. It is in the possession of a collection of 123,000 cultural artifacts in 21 categories.

Day 15 Depart

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight.
