Air
The Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport is about 10 km northwest of the city. In addition to 49 domestic routes, the Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport has opened international routes to Tokyo, Seoul, Osaka, Hong Kong, Singapore and other major cities. The airline shuttle bus from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm and costs RMB10. It runs between the airport and the Dalian downtown area. It costs RMB20-40 to take a taxi.
Train
Dalian Railway Station was recently renovated. Although Dalian is linked to the national railway system, the city only has direct trains to Beijing and major cities in Northeast China, including Changchun, Shenyang, Qiqihar, Jilin and Harbin. For destinations in southern and western China, travelers need to transfer through Beijing.
Taxi
Taxis are reasonably cheap and easy to get except during peak hours between 7am to 9am and 5pm to 7pm. Fares vary slightly, depending on the size of the taxi. Generally most taxis charge a base fee of RMB8 for 3 kilometers and RMB 1 ½ kilometer for additional distance. 10pm-5am 30% +. Remember to get a receipt from the driver, in case you leave something in the taxi.
Boat
Dalian port is one of China's main seaports. The loading and unloading capacity is third in China.
