By Air
The airport is located 18 km south of Shenyang in Taoxian Village in Dongling District. Fifty-seven domestic airlines and eight international and regional airlines fly to destinations in China and abroad. The airline shuttle bus (6:30am-7:30pm, RMB10) runs between the airport and the city proper every day. It costs about RMB 60 to take a taxi.
By Train
Shenyang North Railway Station is a large passenger railway station located on the main Jing Ha Line. It links railways in Northeast China and is the cross point of Shenshan, Shen Da, Shen Fu, Shen Dan, Shen Ji and Shen Ha Lines.
By Boat
Xinkai River is an irrigation channel cut in 1914. The Xinkai River's comprehensive rebuilding project started in December 1995, and the first phase ended in September 1997. The river is 277 km long, starting from Hun River Dongling Entrance Gate in the east, ending at 767-railway special line, and flowing through 5 districts of Yuhong, Huanggu, Dadong, Dongling and Shenhe. There are 13 docks along the river.
By Taxi
There are 16,000 taxies in Shenyang and the fares vary slightly depending on the size of the taxi. Generally most taxis charge a base fee of MB7 for 4 kilometers and RMB1.5/kilometer for extra distance. 10pm-5am 30% +. Remember to ask the driver for a receipt, which is helpful in case of loss of belongings.
