Lianyungang Port is one of ten largest ports in China. It is the eastern bridgehead of the New Eurasia Continental Bridge (NECB). Lianyungang is an ideally natural port, ice and silt free, deep and sheltered from the wind. The port has navigation relationships with almost 1,000 ports in over 160 countries and regions. The completion of a 6.7 kilometers long causeway has made the port large enough that berths for 100 ships can be built. In the future, the port will become a comprehensive port for international trade specializing in exports.
