Plane

Kaifeng does not have an airport of its own. The closest airport is the Zhengzhou Airport 55km away.

Train

Since Kaifeng is an important stop on the Shanghai - Lanzhou railway, taking trains to and from Kaifeng is convenient. Most east-west trains pass through Kaifeng. There are direct trains available daily to Shanghai (12 Hours), Nanjing (8 Hours), Hangzhou (15 Hours), Beijing (8 hours), Chengdu (30hours), Wuhan (8 hours). The railway station of Kaifeng is located south of the ancient Kaifeng town. The station itself is located 2km from the city center.

City Transport

Most of the public bus routes start from the railway station and go to most attractions in the city. However, taxis are the best way to get around.
