Bailudong Academy

Bailudong AcademyBailudong Academy is the most famous one of the four biggest academies in ancient China, and enjoys great reputation in Chinese history. The academy was built in 940 AD. Zhuxi, the great educator of the South Song Dynasty, turned the place into Bailudong Academy, where he taught Chinese classics.

Donglin TempleDonglin Temple

Donglin Temple is also called East Grove Temple. It was built by eminent monks in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and served as the birthplace of the Jintu (Pure Earth) sect of Buddhism.

The temple is also a treasure house with the fact that Hundreds of noted figures had visited the temple, leaving behind about 4,000 pieces of verse and over 900 inscriptions on the cliffs, as well as other writings, prints and calligraphic works.

Poyang Lake

Wang Bo, a talented poet of the Tang Dyansty wrote about Poyang Lake in the Tengwang Pavilion Poetry preface like this: "the falling sunset clouds and the lonely bird are flying together, the autumn water and the sky in same color". It described the scenery of the PoyangLake.
