Air
Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is located 28 kilometers (17.36 miles) from Guilin. Flights are available to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Xi'an, Shenzhen, Kunming, Xiamen, Chengdu, and Dalian. There are two regional routes to Hong Kong and Macao and numerous international flights. The airport shuttle bus (6:30am-7: 30pm, RMB20) runs between the airport and downtown Guilin. Taxis from downtown Guilin to the airport cost RMB80-100.
Train
The Guilin Railway Station, located south of the city with is a hub of rail transportation in South China. All major cities in China can be reached by train from Guilin.
Boat
Cruising along the Li River between Guilin City and Yangshuo County is the highlight of a tour in Guilin. The nearest port is Zhujiang, located about 40 kilometers from the downtown area of Guilin. Boats leave at about 8 or 8:30 am.
Taxi
Taxis are plentiful and metered. Fares vary slightly depending on the size of vehicle. Generally most taxis charge a base fee of RMB6 during the day and RMB7 at night, with an additional RMB1.4 per km.

Most hotels have bicycles for rent for RMB15 per day, with a deposit of RMB150 or leave your passport.
