Itinerary

Day 1 Chongqing (L)

Arrival in Chongqing city, you are met by the local guide and drive to Hechuan district located in the northeast of Chongqing city. After lunch, visit the Fishing town established in 1242 in the Southern Song Dynasty. The Fishing Town is famous for its resistance to the Mongol armies in the year 1259 and lauded as the "Mecca of the East" and "Where God broke his whip" by some European historians. You can visit the Diaoyu Castle located on a precipitous perch overlooking the old city and historical remains from ancient battle fields.

Day 2 Chongqing (B, L)

After breakfast, drive to Laitan Old Town where the concentration of authentic houses paints a vivid picture of life in ancient China. Visit the Laitan Temple where has more than 1,500 Buddhist sculptures displayed throughout. Drive back to Chongqing city and service ends.
