Booked a tour for myself, mom-aged 50 and daughter-aged 22 to China and Tibet. First, I must rave about Fiona at China Connection Tours. I wish I could book every trip I ever take through her. She always responded to my emails quickly and gave detailed information. She answered every question. She is professional and has excellent attention to detail. We combined several smaller tours in various cities that involved trains, planes, buses, subways, rickshaws, etc. so it was complicated. I was a bit worried whether everything would work out as planned but it did. There was always someone to pick us up as the designated time and location. All the sights we were told we'd see we saw and the guides were wonderful. Even when sights were closed due to the day of the week or an event, changes were made to make sure we visited the sight at another time. I must mention one particular guide in Xian named Tina. She went above and beyond to help us. She took additional time to contact people in her birthplace to help my daughter with a personal situation (my daughter was adopted from China). Tina did not have to spend her time doing that but she was very caring and went out of her way to be helpful. Both Tina and the driver (a woman) also went out of their way to bring us to a site that was not on our pre-planned itinerary. That was very kind and generous of them. I highly recommend China Connection Tours and especially Fiona as a tour planner. Request Fiona if you have the option. Also, ask for Tina if visiting Xi'an. More than one guide made additional suggestions of things we could do in our free time, even going as far as helping us with directions, transportation, purchasing the tickets for us because of language difficulty, etc. We had a truly amazing trip and we would have had a frustrating trip if our tour planner and drivers and guides were not as professional, kind and dedicated.
