Tour Reviews:
Hi Cherry,
Sorry for not responding earlier, but we had a bad time adjusting to the US time.
There's no question about the agent who organized the trip, but I'd like to thank you
personally for patiently answering numerous questions and being there during the trip when
we needed your help. Much appreciated. Reviews are as below:
1. Guide Service and Shops
What did you think of our guide service in general? Did the tour guides speak clearly and
politely to make themselves understood? Did any guides stand out for reasons good or bad?
How often did each guide arrange stops at souvenir shops or factories? Did the guide seek
your agreement to make such stops or did you feel pressed to do some shopping?
A: Most of the guides we met were very good. Some speak better English than others, but all
(except the one in Luayang that we asked you to replace (and thank you very much for doing
it!)) spoke clear enough to be understood. All guides were polite, no problems. Maggi Li
(Datong) was the best of them. Not only did she have great English, she had the true
understanding of the history, something I was most interested in. Jenna in Xi'an and Joe in
Luayang were very good and knowledgeable too.
2. Driver Service and Vehicle
How did you feel about our driver service? Was your tour vehicle clean and equipped with
air-conditioners?
A. We felt good about the driver services. Vehicles were clean and comfortable.
3. Meals
What did you think of the meals arranged by us? Did you have any favorites? Did you strongly
dislike any particular meal? Why?
A: Some meals were better than others. Those in Beijing were of a lesser quality. Lunch in
Datong was exceptional. There were no meals that we strongly disliked though.
4. Hotels
How did you feel about the hotels we selected for you? Which was your favorite? Were there
any you wouldn't recommend to other travelers? Why?
A: Hotels were very good. Beds were comfortable everywhere.
