Tour Reviews:
Hello Eric
First, I want to thank you on my behalf and that of my wife for your commitment to ensuring our trip to China was interesting, informative, and gave us a snapshot of the old and new China. One can only do so much in less than two weeks but I feel we gained knowledge and insight which will enable us to design our next trip to China in a way that suits our interests both intellectual and aesthetic.
China is too big to comprehend in a short time. It is impressive, beautiful and historic. After viewing the museums and palaces, temples and of course the Great Wall, it is easy to understand why China is one of the greatest cultures the world has seen.
Our China experience was a function of our guides and to a lesser extent our drivers.
The drivers were fun and great but we didn’t talk to them very much.
The guides were delightful. I cannot tell you how happy we were to see Michelle at the Beijing airport, our first encounter with a Chinese person, such a lively and friendly young lady. We had a good time with her. She was not as strong on facts and information as Arnie or Leo. Both of them provided more facts about what we were seeing. But Michelle was a good guide for different reasons than the two men. My one disappointment is that Michelle did not tell us very much about the Forbidden City. We could have seen more of it I felt. Her choice of restaurants for lunches was not that good.
I liked Arnie and Leo equally but we spent more time with Leo. He is very clever and sincere. We would use him again if the opportunity presents itself as we would Arnie our guide to the terra cotta warriors.
It was a pleasure dealing with you. Perhaps our paths will cross again.
Warmest regards
Joanne & Ernest
