Tour Reviews:
Dear Vivien,
We are very sorry to have taken so much time to reply to your message. We were very busy at work and had a hard time getting back to the local time here. I guess this is what they call a jet lag. It took a few weeks to recover.
Overall, we had a fantastic time on your tour. Guilin and Xian were perfect tours. Hotels in Beijing, Xian and Guilin were good and we were very satisfied. As for Beijing, well we wish we would have seen the Great Wall at Badaling the second time we were there, but the weather was cold and there was a thunderstorm, therefore it was dangerous and not a good idea. I still dream about the Great Wall, the 20 feet high wall and very large one. I hope I get to see it some day.
About Vivien's Service
Thak you so much Vivien for having called us in Beijing, met us in Xian, and called us in Guilin and Xian. You paid a lot of attention to every little detail and you made a good impression on us. Thanks to you, and all your team, we had a wonderful trip. We will recommend your services to our friends. This is the type of service all travelers can dream of. We hope to see you again someday. Thank you for your kind attention in Xian (terracotta warriors). We will always have great memories of you, Jessica and John. You were the best!
About the meals:
The meals in Guilin and Xian were very good. Our tour guide John had helped us as much as he could but the service at the buffet was poor.
However, still in Beijing, we had a great meal in the Hutong family. That was so much good. Wow, it was exquisite.
About the drivers:
Our drivers in every city were very nice and they always made an effort to communicate with us. They were all very courteous, smiling and skillful when driving, except for the driver in Guilin who never said a word. Our Guilin driver was a skilled driver, but he never helped us lift a luggage into the car like the other drivers. He never really smiled or said hello to us. Even if he would have greeted us in Mandarin or Cantonese, we would have appreciated it. Please let him know, it could really help him get better tips with his other clients.
About the guides:
In Beijing (first time) ---- Ricky was our guide
Our visit to the Temple of Heaven was good and instructive. He always helped us with umbrellas and luggage. He was always smiling.
In Xian ---- Jessica was our guide
Jessica is a lovely person. She was our best guide. Perfect service. She is very knowledgeable; she gave us good explanations, paid attention to our needs when Sandra was sick. We wish we had her as our guide when we were in Beijing the first time. She was courteous, and always smiling and listening to our questions. She gave us good answers. She even completed the unanswered questions we had with Ricky at the Summer Palace. Jessica made our trip a success.
In Guilin ----
Our tour guide was nice and always smiling. He gave us some interesting explanations about the different ethnical groups in that region.
His explanations at the Reed Flute cave were good and he was very nice to us and covered us with his umbrella when going up the stairs to the Cave.
In Beijing (second time) ------ May 11 and 12 with John
John paid attention to our needs. He gave very good explanations like Jessica in Xian. We had a beautiful visit at the Forbidden City, the Lama Lamasery and the Hutongs. We wanted to go back to the Great Wall in the morning of May 12 and he was willing to go. We were very happy to see he was trying very hard to please us. Unfortunately, the weather on May 12 was not good, thunderstorm and cold. Sandra and I agreed that it was not a good idea to go. I guess we will have to go back to Beijing someday to see the Great Wall again.
Thank you very much again Vivien.
We miss you, Jessica and John very much.
